Asics Fall Cross Country Classic
Hosted By Winthrop University

The Generals traveled down to South Carolina for the Asics Fall Classic at Winthrop University.  W&L had a strong showing competing in a field of all division 1 schools.

Women's Recap:
The women placed 7th out of 15 schools.  Freshmen Jackie Burns finished 15th overall out 122 runners in a time of 15:31.  Fellow freshmen Becca Taylor crossed the line 38th in 16:17.  Senior Mary Christopher ran 16:22 in 41st with junior Jenny Ratzel finishing 51st in 16:32.  Freshmen Elizabeth Webb rounded out the top five crossing in 16:52.  Senior Liz Twentyman finished in 64th with a time of 16:57.

Sophomore Jessica Buckingham was 75th, senior Sarah Williamson was 84th and freshmen Regina Mills crossed the line in 88th with senior Megan Ward finishing in 99th and freshmen Sarah Ratzel in 102nd.

Men's Recap:
The men placed 6th out of 14 teams.  Senior Nathan Johnson led the way finishing 4th overall out of 127 runners with a time of 19:08.  Sophomore Alex Mahoney finished 14th in 19:32.  Freshmen Michael Welsh was 21st in 19:53 and senior Andrew Johnson was 46th with a time of 20:27 and freshmen Vance Berry crossing the line 66th in 20:54.  Sophomore Andrew Friski was 67th in 20:56.

Freshmen Alex Jackson and Anthony Ives finished 80th and 85th.   Sophomore Jack Jeong was 89th with fellow classmate Steve Rivoir finishing 95th.  Junior David Kronenfeld was 103rd, sophomores Arie George and Alex Gould was 113th and Alex Gould finished 120th.
