University Of Pennsylvania Invitational

 

The Generals Track & Field teams headed up to the University of Pennsylvania on Saturday to compete against some ivy league competition and battled very cold, rainy and windy conditions in the process.

 

Women's Recap:

Stacy Doornbos led the way for the women finishing 1st among D3 runners and 5th overall in the 400m running 59.82 to set a new school record.  Caroline Davis also was the 1st D3 finisher in the 400 hurdles crossing the line in 69.62.  Mary Christopher ran a strong 5,000m race through the conditions to placed 2nd among D3 runners in 19:10.30.  Also finishing 2nd was Tara Hildenbrand in the 400m in 63.85.  Jackie Burns crossed the line as the 3rd place D3 runner in the 1500m running 5:08.80

Men's Recap:

Andrew Fischer led the way for the men with a 1st place showing among D3 athletes in the Javelin.  He had a toss of 156'4"  Alex Mahoney crossed the line 3rd among D3 runners in the 1500m running 4:07.59.  Michael Welsh ran a solid 5,000m with a finishing time of 16:08.27

the world famous Jim's Steaks on South Street...little tight in there?
