2007 Liberty Kick-Off Meet

The Generals started the 2007-2008 season off at the Liberty Kick-Off Meet.  W&L sent a partial team to get the new season rolling and tallied up 9-top ten performances and set 1 new school record

Sophomore Billy Billington led the way for the Generals with two big PRs.  He was the top D3 finisher in the Shot Put with a toss of 46-10.75.  He also was the 2nd D3 placer in the 35lb Weight Throw with a mark of 49-5.75.  Classmate Ryan Castle was the 3rd place D3 finisher in the High Jump with a clearance of 6-0.5, he also placed 5th in the Long Jump at 19-10.75.  Senior Marshall French placed 7th in the 400m crossing the line in 53.80.  Junior Sean Hurdis set a new PR in the 60m running 7.45.

For the women freshmen Summer Lollie set a new school record in her first college meet crossing the line in the 60m runnin 8.29 to placed 5th D3.  She also was the 4th D3 finisher in the 200m (27.99) and 4th in the Triple Jump.  Junior classmates Tara Hildenbrand and Stephanie Stelter placed 3rd and 4th respectively in the 400m while Stelter also finished 5th among D3 runners in the 60 hurdles.
