2007 Richmond Invitational

The Generals travelled across the state to compete in the 3rd Annual Fred Hardy Invitational at the University of Richmond.  W&L saw numerous PRs and season best performances in a variety of events.

For the women Becca Taylor and Elizabeth Webb led the way with big PRs.  Taylor ran the 1,500m crossing the line in 4:53.84.  Elizabeth Webb ran a strong 800m finishing in 2:21.03.  In the same 800m race Dorothy Todd ran 2:24.65.  Stephanie Stelter has a solid meet running the 100 hurdles in 17.34, the 400 hurdles in 71.70 and the open 400m in 64.78.  Sallie Armstrong finished the open 400m in 63.89 and the 400 hurdles in 70.33.  Tara Hildenbrand crossed the line in the 400m running 63.55 and 28.40 in the 200m.

The Men were led by the 4x800m relay team of Steven Rivoir, Robbie Varipapa, Rob Saliers and Alex Jackson running 8:19.53.  Alex Jackson ran a PR in the 3,000m running 9:12.79.  Rivoir also crossed the line in the 1,500m running 4:10.36.  Marshall French ran the 400m in 51.82 while Chip McCoy ran the 400m in 52.52 and the 400 hurdles in 61.86.  In The jumps Brian Bondurant PRed in both the Long Jump (20'4") and Triple Jump (41'8") and Ben Goetsch cleared 1.85m in the High Jump. The 4x400 relay team of Chip McCoy, Marshall French, Brian Bondurant and Matt Harrison ran 3:28.93
