CROSS COUNTRY

2005: A late transfer from Bowdoin College, Berry competed in five races for the Generals, making his collegiate debut at the Greensboro Invitational. His best races came in championship races, placing 8th at the ODAC Championship and setting his PR at the NCAA South/Southeast Regional Championship (26:58.6).

 

Prep: Ran four years at Episcopal, being named First Team All-State by placing eight and sixth his junior and senior years, respectively. Set his 5000 meter personal best of 16:01 at the 2004 Footlocker South Region Championship after missing most of his senior season with a stress fracture.

TRACK

Outdoor 2006: Despite missing several weeks of training with a calf injury, Berry earned his second consecutive All-ODAC honor, this time by placing second in the 1500m in a personal best time (4:06.91).

 

Indoor 2006: Berry asserted himself as one of the top middle distance runners in the ODAC. He handled the leadoff leg of the Generals’ school record distance medley at Liberty and came back the next day to set a personal best for a full mile (4:26.65). He was the ODAC Champion in the One Mile in a wire-to-wire performance.

 

Prep: Ran four years of track at Episcopal. Berry was a two-time Regional Champion and All-State selection at 3200 meters. He also handled the baton on the 2005 Florida Class A State Champion 4x800 meter relay squad.
