Lynchburg Track Classic & The University of Virginia Invite

Highlight The Generals Final Tune Up For The ODAC Championships
At The Lynchburg Track Classic and the University of Virginia Invitational.

At The Lynchburg Track Classic sophomore Maggie Sutherland placed 1^st overall in the High Jump clearing 1.58m and she also finished the 100 hurdles in 15.81.  Junior Stacy Doornbos finished 2^nd overall in the Long Jump with a mark of 5.37m.  Classmate Alysen Kuck was the 3rd D3 finisher in the Javelin with a toss of 32.85m.

At The University of Virginia Invitational the 1500m crew all PRed.  Led by Junior Elizabeth Webb who set a new school record running 4:40.37 narrowly missing the NCAA provisional mark.  Webb was 2^nd collegiate finisher in the race  Classmate Becca Taylor ran 4:46.59 for big PR, while sophomores Kat Telfeyan (4:57.96) and Dorothy Todd (5:00.41) also set PRs for the race.

The men were led by sophomore Billy Billington at Lynchburg.  He placed 1^st overall in the Hammer Throw setting a new school record with a mark of 47.29.  He also cam back to placed 3^rd overall (1^st D3) in the Discus with a toss of 40.70m.  Classmate Brian Bondurant was the 2^nd D3 finisher in the Triple Jump with a mark of 12.02m while sophomore Ryan Castle cleared 1.85m to finish 3^rd among D3 jumpers.  Senior Michael Keenan was the top D3 thrower in the Javelin with a  PR toss of 49.01m

At UVA the 1500m runners were led by Junior Vance Berrry who ran away from his heat with a time 4:08.81.
