May Day Multi's

W&L Hosted The May Day Multi-Event Competition This Weekend At VMI's Foster Stadium.  Sophomore Stacy Doornbos used a 4,448 point Hep To Improve Upon Her National Qualifying Score To Win The Event.

Doornbos powerd her way to an impressive day 1 setting PR's in 3 of the 4 events.  She ran the 100m Hurdles in 16.24.  Next up she cleared 1.55m in the High Jump.  She then set her second PR with a Shot Put toss of 9.45m.  She closed out day one with her 3rd PR in the 200m crossing the line in 26.17.  

Doornbos stayed consistent on day two starting off with a Long Jump of 5.22m.  Next up she had a mark of 25.66m in the Javelin.  She then capped of a great meet with her final PR in the 800m running 2:22.22.

Her score of 4,448 points currently ranks her 8th in the country.  She will take next weekend off to get ready for the NCAA national championship meet on Thursday and Friday May 24th & 25th.
