WHERE WE RUN!

Washington and Lee University is fortunate to have miles and miles and miles of groomed trails both on our beautiful campus and throughout the Lexington and Rockbridge County area.  Highlights of our training trails Include:

 

The Chessie Trail:
An immaculately kept flat trail which runs along side the pristine Maury River.  The former railroad bed is a 7-mile straight shot!  A great and common place for tempo and long runs!

 

 

 

Jordans Point:

A state maintained park within walking distance from campus.   The parks superb and soft two loop trail is ideal for interval workouts. 

 

 

 

Woods Creek Trail:

You’ll love a warm up or cool down in the tall pine trees and on the soft mulch of this trail which runs along woods creek!

 

Campus Trails:

Located on the west end of campus, are well maintained trials winding through the hilly woods of the beautiful W&L campus, which contain phenomenal views of the Blue Ridge and Appalachian mountains!  Soft trail surfaces vary from mulch, crushed stone, and dirt to grass!
